Description
- 14 karat gold, jadeite
Topped with a carved jadeite elephant, gross weight approximately 46 dwts, the box measuring approximately 1¾ by 1¼ inches, signed Cartier.
Condition
In good condition. The jadeite elephant is a light, opaque green with significant mottling. The gold exhibits light surface scratching, with more significant wear to the underside commensurate with use. Signed on the rim of the base. Please note this item appears to be a stamp box, not a ring box as stated in the printed catalogue. A roll of stamps may be placed on the internal spindle and dispensed through the slit at front.
