Of fringe design, set with 21 hexagonal-shaped citrines, 21 hexagonal-shaped sapphires, 22 round rubies, and 22 round emeralds, gross weight approximately 58 dwts, length 15½ inches, signed Gianmaria Buccellati Italy, numbered 01515, with maker's mark and Italian marks. With signed box.
Condition
In good condition overall, with light surface wear. Sapphires are a light violet blue, lightly included with some minor chipping and abrading at facet junctions. Rubies are a light, purplish red, moderately to heavily included with some abrading evident under magnification. Emeralds are a light, bluish green, moderately to heavily included with some surface reaching inclusions and surface chipping. Citrines are a lively, orangy and yellowish brown, eye clean. Colored stones are extremely well matched for color and size. Necklace is very flexible and well made, signed on the reverse of the chain on the female end of the clasp, scratch number on the clasp tongue.
