The oval-shaped pendant centered by reverse-painted glass depicting a bouquet of Lily of the Valley, framed with blue, white and black enamel of floral design, bordered by seed pearls, the reverse inscribed 'With Baby's Love March 1, 1879,' stamped C.G. With signed and fitted box.
Condition
In very good condition overall considering its age, with some discoloration to the gold on the reverse and only minor enamel loss to the painted flower. The pearls exhibit a slightly silvery body color, with some pink and yellow overtones. Some wrinkling and peeling evident to the skins. Stamped on the reverse under the pendant loop. Scratch numbers JAA 928 and PMTT inscribed on back of loop.
