Description
- 14 KARAT GOLD, SAPPHIRE, DIAMOND, EMERALD
The gold mesh bag, featuring a clasp designed with a serpent motif centered by an oval cabochon sapphire measuring approximately 12.9 by 11.0 mm, five smaller cabochon sapphires, two small cabochon emerald eyes and 23 old mine, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.70 carats, gross weight approximately 175 dwts.
Condition
In very good condition given its age, with only minor wear commensurate with use. Bag bears a very nice heft, and the mesh is very supple. Sapphires are a deep, slightly violetish blue, heavily included to semi-opaque, with evident color zoning. Diamonds approximately I-J color, VS-SI clarity (graded insofar as mounting permits). The emeralds are decorative in quality. Strap length approximately 6½ inches.
