Catalogue Note

With an Extract from the Archives confirming sale on June 27th, 1952.

Produced for over 25 years starting in 1934, Ref. 425 remains one of Patek Philippe's most well-loved shape wristwatches. In 1960, it was replaced by the slightly larger Ref. 2461. The model is sometimes referred to as the 'Tegolino', which means 'little tile' in Italian. The case for this model, as well as many iconic rectangular models by Patek Philippe, was made by Markowski.
