Catalogue Note

For Rolex Daytona 'Paul Newman' collectors, ref. 6264 is one of the rarest and most exclusive of all. Ref. 6264 appeared after 6241 as a transitional model with a new calibre 727. The present example bears both references in between the lugs and on the case back. Produced in very small series from the late 1960's until 1972, it is considered by Rolex collectors as one of the iconic models in the Daytona story.

The reference 6264 is illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex La Leggenda, Pucci  Papaleo, pp. 326-7.
