Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a repaired tear towards the lower left corner, with an associated area of retouching visible under UV light. UV examination reveals a further few lines of retouching to the area around the figure's right eye and a few small lines of retouching to the upper right corner. There is an incised line running along all four extreme edges (not visible when framed) and some fine lines of craquelure in places. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
