Condition
The canvas is not lined and there does not appear to be any retouching visible under UV light. There is an area of minor circular craquelure below the figure's chin and a further small area above her left eye: both are very minor and are stable. There are a few small scratches to the upper two corners and some surface dirt in places, mainly to the upper edge. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though there is more variation to the tones in the background in the original.
