Condition
The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some areas of retouching, the most prominent of which is to the left of the boat, to the area above the figure's hats and to the leaves of the palm trees in the foreground. There are some surface scratches in places and some intermittent pin-sized holes along the left, right and lower extreme edges from a previous stretching. There is some surface dirt and this work would benefit from a clean. Otherwise this work is in overall fairly good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the tones are slightly more saturated in the original.
