Condition
Executed on an opened envelope, not laid down, and floating in the frame. The sheet is slightly undulating. The right edge is unevenly torn, and there is a paper loss in the upper left corner and a few further nicks in the left edge (all of which are visible in the catalogue illustration, and probably inherent to the artist opening the envelope). There is a small area of staining with associated foxing towards the centre of the lower edge and a small repaired tear under the right eye of the third head on the extreme right edge. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the paper tone is slightly warmer in the original.
