The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals a thin line of retouching running along the left and lower extreme edges, probably related to previous framing. There is a paint loss to the left of the central red flower and a fine, diagonal scratch to the lower left part of the vase. There is a further horizontal scratch to the centre of the lower edge, there are some fine lines of craquelure in places, mainly towards the centre of the upper half. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the yellow tones are fresher in the original.
