Condition

Painted on a burlap canvas which is not lined. UV examination reveals some areas of fluorescence which correpond to the dark green pigment. There appear to be no signs of retouching visible under UV light. There is some frame rubbing to the extreme edges, most of which is not visible when framed. There is some surface dirt in places, which could be easily removed. Otherwise, this work is in overall very good condition. Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though slightly lighter and fresher in the original.
