Robert P. Welsh, Piet Mondrian, Catalogue Raisonne: Volume I, Catalogue Raisonné of the Naturalistic Works (until early 1911), Toronto, 1998, no. A551, illustrated p. 74 (incorrectly numbered A543) & illustrated p. 376
Condition
The canvas is not lined but the edges have been reinforced with tape. Surface is slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean. There are a few thin stable cracks, mostly around the sky, but these are very minor. Under UV light: the varnish layer is somewhat difficult to read through but there does not appear to be any inpainting of significance. Overall the work is in very good condition.
