Designed as a stylised dolphin, the body decorated with polished gold scales and brilliant-cut diamonds, the tail and fins pavé-set with diamonds, the eyes accented with cabochon sapphires, the mount with calibré-cut emeralds, signed Tiffany & Co, Schlumberger, case.

It is understood that Tiffany & Co produced only six of these brooches and that one of these was gifted by Richard Burton to Elizabeth Taylor on the night of the film premiere of The night of the Iguana, in 1964.

Stamped PT950 and 750 for platinum and 18 carat gold. Signed Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger. Coloured stones well matched in colour. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 25.00 - 27.00 carats, G-H colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Sliding safety catch. Signs of little wear to the metal. In good condition.
