The necklace, designed as three rows of natural pearls with chain linking, set at intervals with circular- and single-cut diamond spacers, links and open work plaques with carved rock crystal, length approximately 520mm, signed Cartier Paris and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, the jabot pin, of annular design, set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, to a rose diamond terminal, signed Cartier Paris and numbered, French assay marks.

Condition

Necklace: Numbered in several places 9528A/0327/0365. Accompanied by Cartier Certificate of Authenticity no. GE2011-210, stating that the necklace is Cartier Paris, 1925. The natural pearls measure from approximately 3.0 to 3.6mm, of a slightly cream colour with greyish and light pink overtones, good lustre. Please refer to the SSEF report duplicate for further information on the pearls. Rock crystal with minor nicks and scratches consistent with age and use. Clasp very delicate, carefully undo screw thread in an anticlockwise direction until the opening mechanism is revealed. Jabot: Signed Cartier and Cartier Paris and numbered HSA 1867. Accompanied Cartier Certificates of Authenticity no. GE2011-226, stating that the jabot pin is Cartier Paris, 1925. Total diamond weight, excluding the rose-cut diamond on the terminal, is approximately 3.70 carats, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, gauged in mount. Scratches to metal consistent with normal wear. In good condition.
