- natural pearl, diamond, 18 carat gold
The necklace composed of two strands of natural pearls graduating from approximately 3.8 to 7.8mm, the clasp set with circular-cut diamonds, length approximately 455mm, French assay marks, the ring set at the centre with a cushion-shaped diamond, bordered and further decorated at the front with cushion-shaped, circular- and single-cut stones, size 531/2.
Provenance
By family tradition, these jewels belonged to the French actress Mireille Perrey.
Condition
Ring: Central diamond estimated at approximately 1.80 carats, in our experts' opinion J colour, SI1clarity. Additional diamonds estimated at approximately 3.00 carats of I-K colour, VS-I clarity. Normal to extensive signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
Necklace: Pearls range from cream to silvery white to silver body colour with various degrees of rosé and green overtones, overall good lustre, few growth marks and blemishes; for further information please refer to SSEF report. Diamonds bright and lively. Clasp secure, safety chain. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition.
