Catalogue Note

The House of Boivin was founded in Paris by René Boivin (1864–1917) in the 1890s.  Known for its modern and sculptural designs, their best known jewels were produced during the 1930s and 1940s when the firm was run by his widow, Jeanne Boivin (1871-1959), and aided by the designing talents of three remarkable women: Suzanne Belperron, Juliette Moutarde,  and Jeanne's daughter Germaine Boivin.
