Description
- platinum, natural pearl, diamond
The button-shaped pearl measuring approximately 18.4 by 18.0 by 10.9 mm, accented by single-cut and baguette diamonds weighing approximately .65 carat, size 5¾, circa 1930.
Condition
In good condition overall. The button-shaped pearl has a silvery body color with soft rose overtones and a waxy luster. There is some moderate peeling and wrinkling to the underside of the pearl, exposing lower layers of nacre. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, predominantly SI clarity. The mounting has nice detailing to the gallery. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2145887031 stating the pearl is natural, saltwater, with indications of treatment. The certificate further states that the pearl has been heavily worked and that the shape and surface of the pearl has been modified.
