Composed of 91 predominantly natural pearls graduating in size from approximately 7.4 to 3.1 mm, the clasp set with one oval and six round diamonds weighing approximately 1.35 carats, length 19½ inches, the clasp signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 24125, with French assay marks, circa 1925.
Condition
In very good condition. The pearls are creamy white with soft to moderate rose and green overtones, the luster ranges from fair (satiny) to good. Some pearls exhibiting minor peeling, blistering and dimpling, especially in the smaller sizes. The oval diamond is approximately H-I color, SI clarity, the smaller diamonds are approximately G-J color, VS-SI clarity. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels on the side of the clasp. Fitted with a safety chain. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2145886337 stating that 71 of the pearls are natural, saltwater, with 19 bead cultured pearls and one pearl of undetermined origin.
