Description
- Raymond Yard
- platinum, alexandrite, diamond
The cushion-cut alexandrite weighing approximately 4.50 carats, flanked by four trapezoid-shaped diamonds and 16 round diamonds, size 6¾, signed Yard.
Condition
In good condition overall, with very minor surface scratching to the mounting commensurate with wear. The diamonds weigh approximately .70 carat and are approximately H-I color, VS clarity. The alexandrite is a slightly brownish purple under incandescent light and a lively, bluish green under daylight equivalent light, with a very distinct color change. It is eye-clean. Two later added scratch marks on the inside of the shank, A27648 and 18330. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 34090 stating that the alexandrite exhibits certain visual and internal characteristics associated with Russia, with no indications of treatment, and a strong estimated color change.
