The necklace composed of six strands of cultured pearls measuring approximately 4.4 to 4.3 mm and three strands of black onyx beads, the front panel applied with black enamel, centered by one oval-shaped sapphire and two heart-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, accented by 17 calibré-cut rubies and numerous round diamonds weighing approximately 4.50 carats, length 16 inches, signed Chaumet Paris, numbered 13157; the earclips of similar design, applied with black enamel, set with four heart-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.40 carats and 14 calibré-cut rubies, signed Chaumet Paris, numbered 131508, both pieces with French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

In good condition. NECKLACE: Diamonds are approximately G-I color and VS-SI clarity. The sapphire is a medium blue color and is lightly included. The rubies are a well-matched medium deep slightly purplish red color and lightly included. Enameling remains intact. Pearls are a creamy white shade with very good luster and minor blemishing. There are clasps at each end of the center panel, both fitted with safety closures. EARRINGS: The rubies are of similar color and clarity to the rubies in the necklace. The heart-shaped diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. The enamel has been repaired very skillfully. Fitted with omega backs.
