Centered by a cushion-cut sapphire weighing 12.87 carats, accented by small single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .15 carat, size 5½, signed Boucheron, Paris, numbered 2340
Condition
In good condition overall, with minor wear commensurate with use and age; the mounting is in very good condition. The sapphire is a slightly violetish blue and there is a fingerprint inclusion in one corner, eye visible when tilting the stone in transmitted light. There is faint zoning and a slight window through the center, but it faces up clean and bright with strong color overall when viewed face up. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 1010685 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
