Rock Crystal and Coral Necklace

Estimate
10,000 - 15,000 USD
bidding is closed

Description

  • rock crystal, coral
Composed of 48 frosted rock crystal beads, alternating with ten coral beads, suspending a frosted rock crystal drop, length 18¾ inches.

Condition

In good condition. The frosted rock crystal beads are slightly scratched due to wear, the rock crystal drop, in particular with a visible chip near the drill hole. There is a smaller, more shallow chip on the rock crystal bead directly above the drop. The coral beads are pinkish orange with some spots of white mottling, some polyp holes are evident under magnification. Some of the knots in the string are fraying, but the string seems stable. According to the consignor, this necklace was bought at Boivin in the 1970's.
