The canvas has been relined, the original canvas, as well as the relining, appears to be composed of two vertical strips joined in the centre. The paint surface is in good overall condition, with some remaining impasto in the lighter pigments. Inspection under UV light reveals minor scattered retouching throughout the sky as well as some more significant retouching to the aforementioned vertical canvas join and scattered along the line of the stretcher on the upper and left margins. It also reveals a small approx. 3 cm diagonal restored damage upper right in the branches of the tree. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster in good overall condition.
