Condition
The painting appears to be lighter in tone and more yellow in colour than the catalogue illustration. The canvas has an old relining and the paint surface appears to be in good overall condition with no apparent damage or loss of paint. Due to the relining the square weave of the canvas is discernable and the modelling is a little flat in places. There is a discoloured varnish overall which impedes inspection with UV light, however there is evidence of very minor areas of old cosmetic retouching in the lower right. In good overall condition and offered in an elaborate gilt wood frame.
