Condition
The canvas has been relined.
The paint surface is in good condition though dirty, with a fine craquelure running throughout. The varnish is a little uneven. A canvas join is visible on the painting's surface but no major damages to the work are apparent, which is notable for a canvas of this size.
There are retouchings throughout the painting mainly to the background, trees and the aforementioned canvas join.
Offered in an ornate carved gilt wood frame in good condition with a few minor knocks.
