Catalogue Note

In this complex and multi-layered installation work, Matthew Day Jackson explor🔯es and reinterprets the concept of 'The American Dream'. The American philospher and inventor Buckminster Fuller's theory of 'Dynamic Maximum Tension' or 'Dymaxion' pervades his artistic practice. This is translated here by Jackson through a multi-faceted layering of concepts involving history, image, art history and personal concerns.
