the photographer's '50 Commerce St., New York City' studio, Federal Art Project 'Changing New York,' and 'Duplicate' stamps, with title, date, and annotations in colored pencil on the reverse, 1937 (Yochelson, Lower East Side, pl. 29)
Condition
This photograph, on double-weight paper with a very slight surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. Silvering is visible in the black margin edges. The margin corners are bumped and lightly creased. At the upper and lower right margin edges, there are small clamp impressions. Upon very close examination, the following are visible: 2 sharp crescent-shaped creases that does not break the emulsion in the lower left corner; and a one-inch linear crease near the left margin edge.
On the reverse of the print, the 'Changing New York' stamp is annotated in colored pencil with the following information:
Neg. # '204'
Code: 'III,' 'I,' and 'II-r-I'
