These rich, impressive prints are in generally excellent condition. When examined in raking light, there are tiny deposits of original retouching on each print. The mounts are lightly foxed, but this does not appear to have affected the prints. These are plates 1 and 8 from the portfolio. They are 19/25. The image of Dr. Albert Schweitzer was used in LIFE, 25 July 1949.
