Condition

These photographs are in generally excellent condition. On the reverse of each print is an 'Ashby/Connolly Collection' stamp. On the reverse of the print, there is a faint indistinct numerical stamp. 'Hank Pagano' - This photograph is on double-weight paper with a slight surface sheen. Silvering is visible in the dark areas of the print. Upon close examination, the following are visible: faint fingerprints along the upper edge; a small, soft crease along the lower edge; and occasional tiny deposits of original retouching in the left portion of the image. The edges are lightly worn, with tiny attendant chipping. The reverse of the print is titled in pencil and annotated 'M. W.' in ink. There is minor soiling on the reverse. 'Anthony Ziernicki' - This photograph is on glossy double-weight paper. Upon close examination, the following are visible: a 2-1/2-inch diagonal crease in the upper left corner; a soft crease along the lower edge; and a few small scratches and creases overall, none of which appear to break the emulsion. The print is titled and annotated 'fold upper right,' and 'BI.II,' '*gI,' and 'RP' in ink, and there is a credit stamp. '[Charles] Tex Smutney' - This photograph is on lightly textured paper with a surface sheen. The print is slightly warmer in tonality near the lower edge. The reverse of the print is titled and annotated 'Geo' and 'M. W.' (twice) in ink. 'Antony di Marco' - This photograph is on double-weight semi-glossy paper. Silvering is visible at the print's periphery. Upon very close examination, the following are visible: a small impression that does not break the emulsion in the lower right corner; a one-and-1/2-inch scratch in the upper left quadrant; and a paperclip-shaped crease near the left edge. The reverse of the print is titled in pencil and annotated 'Nude' (circled), 'M. W.,' and 'dup.' in ink, and has the photographer's '640 Madison Avenue, New York' studio stamp.
