Condition

This ferrotyped print is in generally very good condition. The corners are bumped and the lower left corner is creased. There is slight rippling in the paper in the top portion. When examined in raking light, the following characteristics that can be typical of the ferrotyping process are visible: pitting of the surface at the left side; a barely visible vertical strip of uneven ferrotyping that is 1/8-inch wide and 14 inches long in the center left of the image; and a crescent-shaped area of disruption in the ferrotyping in the upper left quadrant.
