- underside of cup with impressed GARDNER in Cyrillic and 6 or 9, also with No 1 in black overglaze; underside of saucer with blue factory mark

this unusually fine cabinet set in the Empire style, the cup with a portrait of Emperor Alexander I in uniform and wearing the Sash of the Order of St. Andrew after the original attributed to François Gérard, the cup also with finely sculpted leaf and foliate borders highlighted in matt gilding, the saucer with conforming decoration
