  • diameter 24.8cm, 9 3/4 in.
the cavetto depicting officers and soldiers of the 20th Infantry Division, the lilac border decorated with a medallion containing the Imperial State Seal flanked by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves, the reverse inscribed in Russian after a painting by Piratskii, signed N. Krasovskii and dated [18]72, with green and blue Imperial ciphers of Alexander II

some very small rubbing to gilding and two small areas of loss to painting near edges of cavetto; some small loss to gilding on foot
