- Porcelain, gilding
- diameter of large covered serving platter 34.5cm, 13 5/8 in.
comprising two large circular covered serving platters with handles formed as scrolling gilt foliage, a medium circular covered serving platter, eight dinner plates, all decorated in gilt and partly burnished gilt scrolling acanthus leaves, with blue or black Imperial ciphers of Nicholas I; with eight later dinner plates with conforming decoration, Eduard Schinkel or J.F. Maercklin, Stuttgart, two apparently unmarked
Condition
all with some rubbing to gilding; the medium circular serving platter with glaze flaws and cracks apparent on the underside and with some cracks to the glaze on the central recessed portion; one of the later plates with a small chip to the outer rim
