after a design first produced in the 1820s after the illustrations in the journal Magic Lantern (Volshebnyi fonar), both modelled as coachmen dressed for winter, standing on circular bases, with impressed and stamped manufactory marks

Condition

the smaller coachman figure with scattered rubbing and pinpoint areas of loss to the matte blue glaze on his coat, both with some small rubbing to gilding on the moulded scrolls of the bases; the smaller figure with a tiny chip to the edge of his black hat at the back
