Some wear along the edges of the icon, especially along the lower border, traces of nails from a previous basma visible on the ochre background, some loss of paint especially in the lower part of Christ's mantle, some repainting to the neck of the Mother of God, the blessing right hand of Christ, and the mantle of Christ
