the Virgin's maphorion and the Christ Child's robes sewn with seed pearls, the borders of the oklad with repoussé and chased frieze, struck with maker's mark D. Shelaputin, 84 standard
Condition
Damage to the finely applied pearls, many pearls missing, damage to the painting, some flaking visible, the icon covered with darkened varnish and dirt, damage along the edges of the icon
