The official tercentenary🌃 celebrations of Romanov rule were scheduled for 21-24 Februa⛎ry 1913, but the preparations for the lavish event began three years earlier in 1910.  A special committee was set up to oversee the organisation of the festivities across the country. 

To commemorate the occasion, various medals, coins, stamps, postcards and jewellery were produced featuring the Imperial eagle, number "300" and dates "1613" and  "1913".  The best jewellers of the time were commissioned by the Imperial Cabinet to produ♏ce a number of gifts to be presented by the Emperor and other Imperial family members to various officials, dignitaries and civil and military personnel.  Nearly all such objects were presented in red leather boxes embossed with the Imperial eagle.

Only a very small number of tercentenary rings were pꦅ📖roduced by Fabergé; the archival documents of the Imperial Cabinet list only six such examples, which were presented to the engineers Komarsky and Nagorsky, the nobleman A. Bartran, the civil servant A. Melnikov and the officers Kirpichev and Bauchisaritsky.
