Condition
This rich, diffuse palladium print is in generally excellent condition. Great detail is visible in the fine, downy hair on the sitter’s arms. Upon close examination, a faint one-inch deposit of graphite is visible in the lower right corner. The print is unevenly trimmed along the right edge. Thin dark edges are visible at the bottom and right near the periphery of the image. There are 3 pin-point-sized indentations in the lower left margin corner. The reverse of the print is somewhat age-darkened and very lightly soiled from handling. Along the upper edge of the reverse, ‘Dana Steichen Hands’ is written faintly in pencil in an unidentified hand.
