Description
- An Etruscan Black-figured Skyphos
- Glazed terracotta
- Diameter at rim 3 9/16 in. 9 cm.
slightly concave and reserved underneath, each side finely painted in a lively style with two dancing or fighting satyrs each holding his tail with one hand, with long wavy beards, erect ears, and long hair streaming behind, an ivy tendril between them, a double lotus motif in the handle zones.

Intact with four small losses to rim, restored with in-painting, some later paint now lost, some root marks remaning on interior and exterior but cleaned extensively, four small drill holes, three on underside and one under handle, small circular label penned 66 and small label typewritten 71 on underside.
