Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There is light wear to all four corner tips and evidence of hairline craquelure in places to the pull margins. The canvas buckles very slightly towards the lower left corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.

“ No, American are the best. Levi Strauss. With the little copper buttons. Studded for evening wear.”
“How do you keep them clean, B?”
“You wash them.”
“Do you iron them?”
“No I put fabric softener. The only person who irons them is Geraldo Rivera.
This talk of blue jeans was making me very jealous. Of Levis and Strauss. I wish I could invent something like blue-jeans. Something to be remembered for. Something mass.
“I want to die with my blue-jeans on”, I heard myself say."
