three jade plaques carved in low relief and set into the wood scepter, the largest of ovoid form with barbed edges depicting a sage in a rocky landscape beneath pine and with a deer in the distance, the mid-section of elliptical form with an elderly sage holding a large peach accompanied by a young attendant carrying a lingzhi sprig, the smallest plaque with a boy standing below a leafy wutong tree, the shaft inlaid with silver thread with a floral and lingzhi sprig

Acquired in the 1970s and thence by descent.

Condition

All three plaques have been out and restuck. The jades with some minor nicks to the edges.
