each quatrilobed jardinière decorated around the body with a scene of real and mythical sea creatures above a band of waves amid swirling clouds punctuated with flaming pearls, the center of each lobe set with a gilt-bronze articulated oval dragon medallion, the base decorated with a cracked ice and prunus design, supported on four ruyi-form tab feet, and 'planted' with orchids attached to craggy rocks and surrounded by other plants (2)
Condition
Some of the coral flooring is loose. Some of the leaves have been reattached, some with repairs and a small number are missing. Some flower petals are loose and droop downwards, or have been replaced, and the rocks from which the flowers emerge have cracks, repairs and minute chips. The cloisonné pots have nicks around the edges and some minor pitting to the enamels, but are in overall good condition with minimal signs of wear.
