each with a wide curving U-shaped three-segment crestrail, the recessed arms with sinuous bracketed posts terminating in outscrolled handgrips, the broad S-curved central splat carved with a circular panel of archaistic confronting chilong above a framed rectangular panel with a beaded arched panel below, all above a hard mat seat, the waisted, beaded frame on beaded legs terminating in beaded angular scrolled feet joined by four ascending stretchers, the underside with two transverse stretchers (2)

Condition
The crestrails of both have repaired breaks to two of the joined segments and the handgrips on one armchair have been broken and repaired but overall the pair is in good condition with expected wear and joint consolidation.
