each of rectangular form, the hinged top inlaid with soapstone, bone and mother-of-pearl and painted with 'The Hundred Boys' within and around a central pavilion engaged in various pursuits in a garden setting, the theme repeated on the front, all reserved on a mother-of-pearl and gilt decorated diaper trellis on a black lacquer ground, the sides painted with birds and flowers, the back plain black lacquer (2)

Condition
Both trunks with flaking and lifting lacquer, particularly along the edges and corners and the gilt painting is worn.
