the rectangular molded top set with a well-figured single board within a frame, above a wide apron of beaded oblong pierced panels framed by straight stretchers, all supported on chamfered legs of square section joined by double-curved brackets, with four transverse stretchers beneath

Condition
There is some shrinkage to the top panel, there is a split to one of the short members of the frame. There is a filled repair to the inside of one leg and another leg has a long vertical patch on the inside with an associated and filled horizontal split.. One of the double-curved spandrels has been replaced and another has a replaced lower section.

Side tables of this design are unusual, most are square. There is a similar example to the present piece illustrated in The Dr. S.Y.
