the rectangular cover canted, with ruyi-head brass fittings lifting to reveal a shallow compartment above a pair of paneled doors opening to reveal four drawers of varying sizes, the sides set with bail handles, one side with two small circular plates with a chain joining the cover and lower section, and the front with circular lockplate and ruyi-head clasp, all raised on a conforming base with a curvilinear front apron

Condition
There is a horizontal split across the top panel, another diagonal split to the short end of the cover that has filled repair. There are small filled repairs to the corners and the drawer pulls, hinges and front latch and hasp have been replaced.
