The foliate scrolls supporting a coronet centered by a cultured pearl measuring approximately 13.5 by 11.2 by 10.2 mm, set with numerous old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 5.70 carats, signed Tiffany & Co., fitted with a retractable pendant loop; circa 1875.
Condition
In good condition with some minor discoloration to the gold on the mounting. The baroque cultured pearl has a silvery white body color with soft rose and green overtones. Displays good luster and minor to moderate blemishing, mainly in the form of wrinkled skins. The diamonds are approximately G-J color, predominantly VS clarity with a few SI clarity examples. Signed on an applied plaque on the reverse and fitted with a retractable pendant loop. Length approximately 1 3/4 inches. The cultured pearl has been late added. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2155219774 stating that the pearl is bead cultured, saltwater. Please note this piece dates to circa 1875, not circa 1890 as stated in the printed catalogue.
