Condition
From a private collector. In excellent overall visual condition with little to no sign of use. The case has a very minor surface scratch on the outer edge of the lower right shoulder and pin-prick mark to the edge and outer of upper left shoulder. The movement has an intermittent fault found in the duometre model, the two center seconds hands seem to be touching as the main seconds hand does not always run independently and the watch stops. When the chronograph seconds hand is running the time-only seconds also runs. The watch can either be worn with the chronograph always running or, ideally, taken to Jaeger Le-Coultre to be corrected.
**The strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information**.

Catalogue Note
Developed by JLC to utilize two mainsprings, the duometre was designed to prevent any potential loss of power from the principle mainspring when the chronograph is running. On conventional movements when the chronograph is initiated the additional gears used draw extra power from the mainspring and can adversely affect the timekeeping of the watch. By using a separate power source, the chronograph could be run continuously or at will without affecting the performance of the timekeeping.
