Catalogue Note

With a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and an Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1984 and sale on September 23rd, 1987.

Offered in exceptional condition from the original owner, this is the first time any skeletonized Patek Philippe coin watch has been appeared at auction. Believed to have been one of the last from a series of approximately 10 skeleto💃nized coin watches manufactured by Patek Philippe, this is the first recorded example. Th🦂e workmanship to pierce and chase the calibre 177 movement, the only size slim enough to fit into the confines of the coin casing while being large enough to skeletonize, is remarkable. This example is further enhanced by the condition and accompanying original, beautifully preserved, paperwork.

Each example of ske꧅leton movement create by Patek Philippe was finished by hand and represented the pinacle of craftsmanship.
